International Lineman’s Rodeo 2023 with DragonWear
The International Lineman's Rodeo is not just an event; it's a celebration of brotherhood, skill, and the shared pride of the industry that literally powers our world. Every year, lineworkers from different parts of the world gather in Overland Park, Kansas for three days of non-stop fun. The event starts with a two-day expo where attendees can visit vendors to see the latest new products in the industry. On Saturday, the main event takes place where competitors participate in the largest lineman's rodeo in the nation. Meeting these lineworkers each year and hearing their stories serves as a reminder of why we do what we do at DragonWear – to provide gear that ensures the safety and comfort of lineworkers every day.
Expo Days: Booth 523
The overall atmosphere at the Overland Park Convention Center was very electric, with competitors, vendors, and families walking the expo excitedly and energized! The DragonWear booth played a small role in the excitement and was the place to be during expo hours. We had around a thousand people stop to chat with our team, see our latest gear, and, most importantly, spin our prize wheel. The wheel was a hit, to say the least, as we had continuous long lines of attendees who wanted to give it a spin to win either a Pro Dry® Tech Beanie, the new Daily Sock, the Storm Beanie, DragonWear Trucker Hat, or the Pro Dry® Tech Baseball-Style Shirt.The prize wheel was a captivating way to showcase the launch of the Pro Dry® Tech Beanie and announce the arrival of the Daily Sock in December. The beanie received positive feedback, especially for its lightweight design, which allows it to be worn year-round under hard hats. Those who won the Daily Sock were the first to try it out.
After another year of hard work and providing for our communities, it was great to give back to our line workers through our giveaways.
The Home of the Pro Dry® Tech
The International Lineman's Rodeo provides a platform for manufacturers like us to connect with our utility partners, with whom we have worked with throughout the year. This event allows us to improve and innovate our gear continuously to meet the evolving needs of power lineworkers. This year, we had the opportunity to outfit eleven rodeo teams in our best-selling Pro Dry® Tech LS Shirts and Shirt with Hood. As the home of the Pro Dry® Tech collection, we take pride in designing workwear that not only provides comfort and protection but also changes the future of workwear by creating clothes you want to live in, even on your off days.
Day of the Rodeo
The day we had been waiting for all year finally arrived. At 5 a.m., the rodeo grounds started filling up with competitors, families, vendors, and various brands. Despite the light rain and wind, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. Competitors were getting their game faces on and getting ready for the competition, which would start at 7 a.m. With nearly three hundred teams participating, the energy was palpable. As the day progressed and teams began wrapping up late in the afternoon, the excitement shifted from competitiveness to celebration. Beers were cracked open, and relief and satisfaction filled the air. It was awesome to see lineworkers from across the country sporting our gear around the expo and on the rodeo grounds.

As the excitement of this year's event lingers, we're more committed than ever to being the trusted partner lineworkers deserve, ensuring they return home safely and comfortably after a hard day's work.
