CAT 2
One or more layers of fire resistant protection. Required minimum Arc Rating 8 cal/cm2. PPE Categories are used to determine the necessary arc rating of a garment worn during a given job task.
CAT 3
One or more layers of fire resistant protection. Required minimum Arc Rating 25 cal/cm2. PPE Categories are used to determine the necessary arc rating of a garment worn during a given job task.
CAT 4
One or more layers of fire resistant protection. Required minimum Arc Rating 40 cal/cm2. PPE Categories are used to determine the necessary arc rating of a garment worn during a given job task.
ANSI 107
